THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) MIDNIGHT GEM (G Lerena) refused to load. The starting stall certificate for this mare has been withdrawn. Trainer P P Labuschagne was advised (PHvdW).
b) MARYAH refused to jump. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn.

c) MERCURY RISING (M Yeni) and KAYLA'S CHAMP (R Simons) were slow losing one length.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to MIDNIGHT GEM, this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading with a companion.
Suspension dates: Suspension dates: 4 September 2022 to 10 September 2022. MIDNIGHT GEM may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer P P Labuschagne was advised.
b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to MARYAH, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable jumping with a companion.
