THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At approximately the 100m, HOOVES OF TROY (A Arries) was brushed out by PASSAGE OF POWER (J Gates) which was hanging out. b) Jockey K de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with GRAPPLER and as a result he did not persevere with his ride from the 400m. c) Apprentice D Geerthsen reported that he felt something amiss with LORD WYLIE in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning LORD WYLIE (*D Geerthsen), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer W Whitehead was advised. (Suspension Dates : 05 September 22 - 04 November 22, bdi) e) PASSAGE OF POWER (J Gates), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
