Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	JET FORCE (M Winnaar) and MAJOR MASTER (C Orffer) were slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start, JET FORCE (M Winnaar),which had been slow to begin, was steadied when close to the heels of FIRINGONALLENGINES (M Mjoka).
b)	Approaching the 250m MASTTEROFTHEDESERT (O Noach) was carried in marginally when awkwardly placed on the inside of the heels of FIRINGONALLENGINES (M Mjoka). Simultaneously, PARATROOPER (S Veale) shifted out slightly while improving on the outside of SECRET PASSAGE (A Fortune). As a consequence, PARATROOPER (S Veale) and MASTTEROFTHEDESERT (O Noach) made contact and MASTTEROFTHEDESERT (O Noach) had to be steadied for a number of strides. In this incident, DEFINITELY YES (C Zackey), which was racing on the outside of MASTTEROFTHEDESERT (O Noach) was momentarily inconvenienced. 
c)	In the concluding stages, CIRCUMBENDIBUS (JP van der Merwe), which was hanging out, was steadied briefly when awkwardly placed on the inside of TOUGH TERRAIN (R Fourie).
d)	STREET OUTLAW (*S Bungane) was hanging out in the latter stages.
e)	Jockey K Matsunyane reported that CAVALRY COMMANDER took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. 

f)	IN THE BAG (A Arries) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr J de Villiers)
g)	PARATROOPER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer VH Marshall was advised. (SC)
