THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	SAUDI SWEEP (+S Mkhumbuzi) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	WHISTLING STRAIT (+C Mabaya) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls, losing one length.
c)	AMERICAN SOCIALITE (+N Ngqwangi) was slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	LILAC SNOW (+S Mosia) hung in from the 500m.
b)	At approximately the 300m, POTATO SALAD (+A Feni) was carried in by SAUDI SWEEP (+S Mkhumbuzi), which hung in from 400m. Thereafter, Work Rider S Mkhumbuzi, the rider of SAUDI SWEEP, dropped his right-side rein at the 200m, which he only regained after the finish. 	
c)	Work Rider V Sithetho was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he, as the rider of MADAME POMPADOUR, misused his crop by striking this filly more than twelve times (16) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. 
	Work Rider A Feni signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in four (4) Work Rider Races.
	Suspension date: 15 May 2025, 29 May 2025 and two to TBA. 
d)	Work Rider S B Mthembu was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he, as the rider of SASHA LEE, misused his crop by striking this filly more than twelve times (14) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. 
	Work Rider S B Mthembu signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in two (2) Work Rider Races.
	Suspension date: 15 May 2025 and 29 May 2025.
e)	LIKE A PRAYER (+P Mongqawa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
