THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	HOSPICES DE BEAUNE (E Webber) and GOLD GUNNER (L Mxothwa) were stubborn loading.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	A PLACE IN THE SUN (*I Taka) proved difficult proceeding to the start and had to be led by a Handler, causing a delay. Trainer AC Greeff was advised that should this gelding behave in a similar manner in future engagements, it may be suspended.
b)	UNION ROSE (MK Katjedi) was hanging in in the latter stages.
c)	Jockey C Zackey reported that FEARLESS BADGER made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
	Assistant Trainer FJ Jacobs was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
d)	GOLD GUNNER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SB Kotzen was advised. (LM)
e)	HOLOCENE, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM)
