THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE, AS WELL AS TROPPO VELOCE (C ZACKEY) LIFTING ITS LEFT FRONT SHOE, WHICH WAS ATTENDED TO BY THE COURSE FARRIER. THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) QUANTUM THEORY (M Yeni) hung in in the concluding stages. b) In view of the performance of MAGIC TATTOO (C Habib), (distance 10,00 lengths, betting 17/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Jockey S Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with COSMIC STAR in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey P Mxoli reported that he felt something amiss with TCHAIKOVSKY in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning TCHAIKOVSKY, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority.
