THE STARTER REPORTED: a) YOUCANTHURRYLOVE (*K A Brewer) was slow losing one length. b) IRISH TRACTOR (K Matsunyane) was stubborn loading and thereafter lost one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In the concluding stages, THEORY OF FLIGHT (S Khumalo) was brushed out by LEOPOLD (K de Melo) which was switched out to continue its run. b) Jockey J P van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with BACK TO BLACK in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) INDLAMU (*J Solomons), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (LN). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) INDLAMU raced without a tongue tie (declared 2 April 2022 at 08H56). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) WILLOW EXPRESS scalped right hind. b) BACK TO BLACK examined post race, nothing obvious detected.
