THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	TRIDENT KING (D Schwarz) was stubborn loading.
b)	POCKET WATCH (P Mxoli) was slow losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	At approximately the 1200m, CRESCENDO (R Danielson) and APACHE CHIEF (M K Katjedi) were carried out by OMBUDSMAN (P Strydom), which commenced to over-race and shifted out. As a consequence of this, CRESCENDO (R Danielson) raced wide around the turn and thereafter Jockey R Danielson reported that this gelding tired badly in the concluding stages. In view of the performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.	
b)	Jockey P Strydom (OMBUDSMAN) did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. Thereafter, Jockey P Strydom reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine . 		
c)	In view of the performance of APACHE CHIEF (M K Katjedi), (distance 14,55 lengths, betting 25/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.	
d)	In view of the performance of GUERILLA WARFARE (J Penny), (distance 18,05 lengths, betting 25/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
