THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the starting stalls ABADDON (T Godden) was bumped by DONQUERARI (*M Mbuto) which jumped outwards. Immediately thereafter ABADDON (T Godden) and RAINBOW REWARD (S Sosibo) were squeezed out between DONQUERARI (*M Mbuto) and SMORGASBORD (D Schwarz) which jumped in sharply leaving the starting stalls. b) TWENTY ONE MAY (K Matsunyane) faltered on a number of occasions over the final 300m. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) CONNERY (*J Botes), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer J Buckler acting on behalf of Trainer G S Kotzen was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) DONQUERARI raced equipped with blinkers (advised 14.05.2025/07h49).
