THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	PLEASEDTOSEEYOU (S Moodley) and RODRIGUEZ (D Schwarz) were slow into stride.
b)	WHITE SEAHORSE (C F Dicken) lost 2 lengths. 
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	At the 1100m FIRELIGHTER (N Patel) which commenced to over-race, was steadied off the heels of THE GLIDING FISH (K Matsunyane) which rolled in and was immediately corrected.
b)	Approaching the 200m LINKIN NAVIGATOR (P Mxoli) which had come to the end of it run, was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of IBUTHO (S Veale) which was directed inwards for clear running.
c)	Approaching the 150m AMOR FATI (R Danielson) was switched to the outside of runners to continue its run.
d)	Shortly before the finish NIGHT ROCKER (J Jacobs) was momentarily steadied when awkwardly placed on the outside of WHITE SEAHORSE (C F Dicken) and when to the heels of THE GLIDING FISH (K Matsunyane) which shifted in away from the crop. This precluded Jockey Jacobs (NIGHT ROCKER) from riding to the finish. 
e)	THE GLIDING FISH (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Dixon was advised (DZ).
JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES :
a)	Jockey M Yeni was the rider of PREEMPTIVE STRIKE (advised 26.05.2025/11h29).
b)	Jockey D Schwarz (RODRIGUEZ) weighed out at 57.0kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight.
