Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	MY BESTIE (*S Bungane) jumped with its head up and was slow into stride.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	From a wide draw, JET A ONE (J Solomons) was ridden forward and raced in advance of the field in the early and middle stages.
b)	Shortly after the start, BOUNCEBACK (R Fourie) was squeezed out between FIBONACCI (O Noach) and GNARLY (*B Plaatjies).
c)	For a short distance leaving the 400m, WALK WITH ME (C Little) raced in restricted galloping room on the inside of SCALINI (G Lerena).
d)	MAJOR MASTER (A Domeyer) was hanging out and shifted out in the latter stages. 
e)	REPETITION (C Zackey) had to be steadied when close to the heels of CONGRESSMAN (C Orffer), which shifted out slightly at the finish. 
f)	Jockey S Veale reported that WESTERN WORLD did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
g)	CHASINGTHERAINBOW, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer J Crawford was advised. (SC)
