THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	HAT TRICK OR TREAT (M Yeni) and SKITTLES SKIES (M K Katjedi) were slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	SUPER AWESOME (D Schwarz) over-raced in the early stages. 
b)	Approaching the 1200m, SKITTLES SKIES (M K Katjedi), which commenced to over-race, was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of HAT TRICK OR TREAT (M Yeni).
c)	Leaving the 150m, CASUS BELLI (P Mxoli) and ROBERT BROWNING (*B Plaatjies) were carried out marginally by SAFE SPACE (C Maujean), which shifted out away from the crop and was corrected. 
d)	In view of the performance of ESPINOZA (C Zackey), (distance 14,45 lengths, betting 25/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.	
e)	Jockey C Maujean reported that SAFE SPACE changed stride continually in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
f)	Trainer P F Matchett was charged with a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate SKITTLES SKIES against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. 
Trainer P F Matchett signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000.
g)	OBSIDIAN (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
