DURING THE LOADING PROCESS, GAMER (M YENI) PROVED STUBBORN LOADING, WHICH RESULTED IN MOLOTOV COCKTAIL (G LERENA) BECOMING RESTLESS. MOLOTOV COCKTAIL (G LERENA) WAS REMOVED FROM THE STARTING STALLS, EXAMINED BY THE VETERINARY SURGEON AND SCRATCHED. TIME WAS ALLOTTED FOR THE BETTING PUBLIC TO RESTRUCTURE THEIR BETS. THIS CAUSED A DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. THEREAFTER, GAMER (M YENI) REFUSED TO LOAD AND WAS SCRATCHED. THIS CAUSED A FURTHER DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GAMER (M Yeni) refused to load. The starting stall certificate for this colt has been withdrawn. Trainer S J Gray was advised (GT). b) VOLTE FACE (J R Syster) was slow losing one length. c) ART NOUVEAU (*K J Lihaba) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with CHABAL in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to GAMER, this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 20 June 2025 to 26 June 2025. GAMER may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer S J Gray was advised. c) ART NOUVEAU (*K J Lihaba), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A P Peter advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) KISS OF FIRE raced with a cornell collar (declared 7 December 2023). b) FUTUREWOLFF raced with a cornell collar (declared 24 February 2024).
