THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	A fair start. 
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	RAGNAR THE KING (C Habib) over-raced in the early stages.
b)	At the 1400 m FRENCH FLAME which was over-racing, was steadied to avoid the heels of RUN FOR COVER (G Lerena) which was carried in by SERPENTINE FIRE (M V'Rensburg) which rolled in. 
c)	Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson reported that the saddle on WHITE SEAHORSE saddle slipped forward in the running. This was confirmed by the video evidence.
d)	In view of the performance of BLACKBERRY BREEZE (A Mgudlwa) which commenced to give ground to the field from the 350m and was not persevered with, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e)	In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report regarding BLACKBERRY BREEZE, this gelding is suspended in terms of Rule 49.7 and a Veterinary Certificate is required prior to racing. Trainer A Wright will be advised. 
f)	RUN THE WORLD (M Yeni) was not persevered with in the concluding stages. Thereafter Jockey M Yeni reported that RUN THE WORLD did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.   
g)	SERPENTINE FIRE (M V'Rensburg), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M J Odendaal was advised (NS).
