a)	Approaching the 200m TO THE RESCUE (A Mgudlwa) and MO MENT (J R Syster) were carried out by SHOOT THE RAPIDS (G Lerena) which was directed outwards away from the heels of HOLDING THUMBS (C Little) which shifted out away from the crop and was corrected.
b)	In view of the performance of TO THE RESCUE (A Mgudlwa) (15.35 lengths, 20/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 
c)	The Stewards have adjourned to consider recorded video footage of Jockey Khumalo's riding of KING PELLES following the finish and before weighing in. 
d)	KING PELLES (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) was advised (RvR).
