THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DUCHESS OF SEVILLE (*N Nastili) was stubborn loading. b) EPIC THUNDER (VS Ramdhonee) jumped slow, losing three lengths. c) LADY PENNY (C Little) jumped awkwardly, losing one length. d) THE ROARING ROCK (S Khumalo) fly-jumped leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (11h57) b) THE ROARING ROCK (S Khumalo), which jumped awkwardly, shifted inwards shortly after the start. c) QUICK CROWN (X Ndlovu) shifted out away from the crop from the 300m. d) FLIGHT ENGINEER (M Yeni) was hanging in from approximately the 300m and was corrected at the 100m. e) Apprentices B Soodoo (MONOCLE) and VS Ramdhonee (EPIC THUNDER) had satisfactory qualifying rides. f) Jockey C Little reported that LADY PENNY made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. g) Apprentice S Valjalo reported that SOMBREUIL changed stride continually in running and was blowing post-race.
