THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	MIDWICKET (P Mxoli) was fractious behind the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn.
b)	TUNE AGAIN (W Agrella) was nervous in the stalls.
c)	ICE CAP (Y Ramzan) was slow into stride. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	COLORAMA recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer TJ Laing was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. (16h03) This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level. 
b)	DANCING IN WINTER (G Wright) and ICE CAP (Y Ramzan) over raced in the early and middle stages.
c)	SPOIL YOURSELF (*N Nastili), which was directed outwards, was bumped inwards by TUNE AGAIN (W Agrella), which shifted inwards at approximately the 200m.
d)	COLORAMA (MK Katjedi) was directed outwards to obtain clear running at approximately the 200m.
e)	In view of the performances of MISS SHAIVI (L Mxothwa) and DUELLONA (S Naidoo), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these mares.
	Assistant Trainer DG Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with these mares on their return to the stables.	
f)	JAMBO SANA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised. (LM)
