THE STARTER REPORTED: a) COUNT YOUR CHANCES (N Klink) was slow losing two lengths. b) VIVA DE JANEIRO (S Khumalo) and COMMANDER OF ALL (M K Katjedi) were slow losing one length. c) Shortly after the start, BLURRED VISION (C Habib) and VAVA VEGAS (K Matsunyane) came together and bumped. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey J Penny, the rider of COPPOLA, briefly dropped his left-side rein at approximately the 200m. b) In view of the performance of VAVA VEGAS (K Matsunyane), (distance 11,00 lengths, betting 33/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Apprentice T Mayhew reported that he felt something amiss with ZOOMBOMBER in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) COPPOLA (J Penny), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Khan advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
