Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FATE OF FORTUNE (M Yeni) was stubborn to load. b) GALLA VANTING (*M Mbuto) stood losing many lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start WILLIAM WEST (C Habib) was buffeted by WHEREVERILAYMYHAT (A Mgudlwa) and BLAST FROMTHE PAST (C Little) which jumped outwards leaving the starting stalls. b) Apprentice M Mbuto (GALLA VANTING) accidentally dropped his crop shortly after the start. c) CATAVAR (T Godden) hung out from the 400m. d) BLAST FROMTHE PAST (C Little) hung out from the 400m and proceeded to take an awkward stride at the 200m. Jockey C Little did not persevere with his ride on BLAST FROMTHE PAST in the concluding stages and thereafter Jockey C Little reported that this colt made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) CAPPELLINO (R Fourie) hung out in the concluding stages. f) In view of the Starter's report with regard to GALLA VANTING (*M Mbuto), this mare's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 01.09.2025 to the 07.09.2025. GALLA VANTING may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M Pandaram will be advised. g) FATE OF FORTUNE (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer T Zietsman acting on behalf of Trainer A Wright was advised (NS).
