THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO STONEYWOOD (C MURRAY) PROVING DIFFICULT TO LOAD AS WELL AS  GEOSTORM (*K J Lihaba) AND ANONYMOUS (L Nhlapo) PROVING STUBBORN LOADING.

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	GEOSTORM (*K J Lihaba) was stubborn loading. Trainer A P Peter was advised to reschool this gelding prior to his next engagement (GT).	
b)	ANONYMOUS (L Nhlapo) was stubborn loading, restless in the stalls, and thereafter slow, losing one length. Trainer J S Roux was advised to reschool this colt prior to his next engagement (GT).
c)	STONEYWOOD (C Murray) was difficult to load. The starting stall certificate for this colt has been withdrawn. Stable Employee N Houdalakis, acting on behalf of Trainer M N Houdalakis, was advised (GT). 	         
d)	MILLENNIUM WARRIOR (*T Mayhew) was restless in the stalls and thereafter slow, losing one length. 
    
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	GEOSTORM (*K J Lihaba) hung in from the 300m. 
b)	MILLENNIUM WARRIOR (*T Mayhew) tired badly in the concluding stages. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
c)	In view of the performance of STONEYWOOD (C Murray), (distance 12,25 lengths, betting 33/10), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.	
d)	Jockey M K Katjedi reported that he felt something amiss with STORM BURST in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.		
e)	In view of the Starter's report with regard to STONEYWOOD, this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. 
Suspension dates: 10 October 2025 to 16 October 2025.  STONEYWOOD may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Stable Employee N Houdalakis, acting on behalf of Trainer M N Houdalakis, was advised. 
f)	ICE DRAGON (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
