THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE SADDLE ON THE SPECIALIST (M YENI) HAVING TO BE ADJUSTED AT THE START. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ABOUND (J Penny) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) PLUS FOUR (S Moodley) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) THE SPECIALIST (M Yeni) over-raced in the early stages. b) At approximately the 300m, SILVER TUDOR (C Zackey), which hung in from the 400m, was steadied and switched out to avoid the heels of ABOUND (J Penny), which had come to the end of its run. c) PASSAGE OF POWER (R A Venniker) shifted out away from the crop from the 300m. d) PENNSYLVANIA (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer M Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer A P Peter, was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) FULLY LOADED: Apprentice G Samo-Burthia weighed out at 49,9kg, only claiming 2,5kg of his 4kg apprentice allowance.
