THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Shortly after arriving at the start, RACHETTU took charge of Apprentice N Yuen and bolted back to the parade ring, during which time Apprentice N Yuen was dislodged. RACHETTU was taken in hand, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. Apprentice N Yuen was attended to on course by the paramedics, further examined by the Medical Officer and passed suitable to continue riding. b) FOREVER RED (G Wright) and SOMMERSTERN (C Little) jumped slow, losing one length. c) BLIZZARDBOY (O Noach) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, BLIZZARDBOY (O Noach) and FOX ON THE RUN (S Veale) brushed when both horses shifted ground marginally. b) FAST TRAIN (JP van der Merwe) over raced in the early and middle stages. c) In view of the debut performance of FOREVER RED (G Wright), which raced green, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. d) FOX ON THE RUN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
