THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DIABLO (*S Bungane) and WORLDLY (C Little) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The Stewards inquired into an incident that took place leaving the 800m in which OCTOBER STORM (R Fourie) was initially bumped by HERITAGE RIDGE (*B Plaatjies) and then had to be steadied off the heels of DAME OF TRIX (*N Yuen). After questioning Jockeys R Fourie, C Murray and Apprentices B Plaatjies and N Yuen, it was established that DAME OF TRIX (*N Yuen) had shifted in when insufficiently clear leaving the 800m. Apprentice N Yuen was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of DAME OF TRIX, she failed to ensure that she did not cause interference to runners on her inside leaving the 800m. Apprentice N Yuen signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. (Dates: 30/10/2025 to 05/11/2025, both dates inclusive) b) Approaching the 400m WORLDLY (C Little) was held up behind CAVALRY COMMANDER (JP van der Merwe) and had to be directed inwards. c) In view of the performance of OCTOBER STORM (R Fourie) (Betting 1/1; Distance 11.05 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) MAGICAL PLACE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Nothing obvious detected. Trainer VH Marshall was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. b) BLUFF ON BLUFF - abnormal respiratory noise SCRATCHED: a) TRIPPI'S SILK - elevated temperature.
