Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ANGEL'S OASIS (L Mxothwa) was restless in the stalls and threw its head down as the start was effected and as a consequence, was slow into stride.
b)	GOOD TO GREAT (C Bantam) jumped awkwardly outwards and made contact with ANGEL'S OASIS (L Mxothwa).
c)	PUSHING LIMITS (C Orffer) threw its head up leaving the stalls and was slow into stride. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	After being dislodged by WING WALKER in Race 3, Jockey C Murray was examined by the Medical Doctor and passed fit to continue riding.
b)	After being inconvenienced at the start, ANGEL'S OASIS (L Mxothwa) was ridden forward and into a prominent position. 
c)	Jockey C Little reported that CARIBBEAN GOLD tired quickly in the latter stages and he did not persevere with his riding from the 100m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
	The Stipendiary Board has exercised the provisions of Rule 49.7, and this filly is suspended pending a Veterinary Certificate prior to its next racing engagement. Trainer GS Kotzen was advised.
d)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding ANGEL'S OASIS (L Mxothwa), Trainer J Crawford will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
e)	DAWN'S EARLY LIGHT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D McLachlan was advised. (TJ)
f)	LOVERS LANE, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer PD Reeves was advised. (TJ)
