Stipes Report

a)	BOMBER BAY (C Zackey) was nervous in the stalls, stood awkwardly and jumped slow, losing two lengths.
b)	LADY PENNY (*B Soodoo) jumped slow, losing two lengths.
c)	DREAM TEAM (MK Katjedi) jumped awkwardly.
d)	KHICHDI (C Habib), OUTBACK EXPRESS (C Orffer) and CLOUDS CLEARING (M Yeni) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Permission was granted for CLOUDS CLEARING (M Yeni), to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start.
b)	CLOUDS CLEARING (M Yeni), which jumped awkwardly, shifted in sharply and faltered shortly after the start.
c)	DREAM TEAM (MK Katjedi) jumped awkwardly and made slight contact with TOP DOLLAR (*G Dookhit) shortly after the start.
d)	BOMBER BAY (C Zackey) over raced in the early stages.
e)	At approximately the 600m GLOBAL SCENE (M van Rensburg) had to be steadied momentarily between LADY PENNY (*B Soodoo) and GREY WARRIOR (R Fourie), which shifted outwards. 
	The Stewards have adjourned to review this incident.
f)	GREY WARRIOR (R Fourie) was hanging in from the 400m.
g)	Jockey M van Rensburg did not persevere with his riding of GLOBAL SCENE in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
Jockey M van Rensburg was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.3 in that he failed to ride GLOBAL SCENE out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards. Jockey M van Rensburg signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1 000.00.
h)	Jockey MK Katjedi reported that DREAM TEAM changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
i)	The saddle on PICK A POMODORO (L Mxothwa) slipped back in running and, as a consequence, Jockey L Mxothwa was unable to ride this gelding from the 100m to the finish. This was confirmed on the patrol film.
j)	LIGHTNINGFORK (W Agrella) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr J de Villiers)
k)	Jockey L Mxothwa was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on PICK A POMODORO, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer. Jockey L Mxothwa signed an admission of guilt and was fined R5 000.00.
l)	CLOUDS CLEARING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee Z Xamle, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised. (LM)
