THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PURPLE POWAHOUSE (S Veale) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) Shortly after the start, WHEREVERILAYMYHAT (A Mgudlwa) was tightened and inconvenienced between LITTLE CRACKER (*M Mbuto) which rolled out and PRANKSTER (C Murray). b) Jockey S Hlengwa reported that CAPPELLINO took an awkward stride entering the straight. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) ARVERNI PRINCESS (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
