THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE 30-MINUTE INTERVAL BETWEEN RACES AS WELL AS STORM BURST (M YENI) BEING SUBJECT TO A LATE VETERINARY EXAMINATION AT THE START. 

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	GIMMETHESPOTLIGHT (*T Mayhew) reared in the stalls.
b)	SMUGGLER (P Mxoli) was slow losing two lengths.
c)	LANCE ALOT (S Moodley) was slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	In the concluding stages, FORCE PUBLIQUE (G Lerena) and TOMMY ATKINS (C Habib) were carried out by AGOGE (C Zackey), which shifted out away from the crop. Thereafter, TOMMY ATKINS (C Habib) was bumped outwards by AGOGE (C Zackey), which commenced to hang out whilst racing green.
	Jockey C Zackey (AGOGE) appeared before the Board and was advised to take stronger measures to keep his mounts straight in races. 
b)	In view of the performance of ELUSIVE GLOW (*S Valjalo), (distance 18,25 lengths, betting 33/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.	
c)	In view of the performance of NEW LIFE (J R Syster), (distance 19,80 lengths, betting 125/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.	
d)	Jockey M K Katjedi reported that SCOTT'S GUARD did not stride out freely in running.

e)	Jockey C Murray reported that ABBEY SNIPER  made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.
