THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	POTENT CAPTAIN (MK Katjedi) was stubborn loading, nervous in the stalls and rushed the front gates.
b)	WILD FIG (R Fourie), PIBE DE ORO (X Ndlovu) and CHOCOLATE BOMB (S Naidoo) were nervous in the stalls.
c) 	MOOLA MAN (*B Soodoo) and TOKYO MEDAGLIA (M van Rensburg) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (16h09)
b)	Permission was granted for CHOCOLATE BOMB (S Naidoo) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start.
c)	TOKYO MEDAGLIA (M van Rensburg) was bumped inwards by WILD FIG (R Fourie) shortly after the start. 
d)	Jockey X Ndlovu reported that PIBE DE ORO changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e)	In view of the performance of EXPLOSIVE SPEED (Y Ramzan), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
	Assistant Trainer DG Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
f)	Assistant Trainer C Kaknis was issued with an AOG for a contravention of Rule 57.1.4 in that she saddled BANDMASTER outside of the designated saddling area without obtaining the required permission. 
g)	CHOCOLATE BOMB, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer F Jacobs, acting on behalf of Trainer DG Smith, was advised. (LM)
