Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	GREY WARRIOR (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls.
b)	MONT TREMBLANT (Y Ramzan) and WELSH STARLET (*S Bungane) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (11h56)
b)	NUCLEUR POWER (*G Dookhit) failed to muster speed and raced detached from the field throughout. Apprentice G Dookhit did not persevere with his riding from the 400m and thereafter reported that this gelding did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
c)	PICK A POMODORO (L Mxothwa) and FREE TO RUN (MK Katjedi) over raced in the early and middle stages. 
d)	Jockey M van Rensburg did not persevere with his riding of BUGLE from the 150m and thereafter reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e)	Trainer JVA Strydom was questioned with regards to the improved performance of WELSH STARLET in today's race. He advised that the race on 31 October 2025 was too short for this filly and today's race was over a distance more suited to her. His explanation was noted.
f)	PICK A POMODORO (L Mxothwa) shifted sharply inwards into the crop at approximately the 100m.
g)	Jockey MK Katjedi reported that FREE TO RUN did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
h)	In view of the performance of FORT IMPREZA (M Yeni) (Betting 9/2; Distance 15.50 lengths), which tired badly in the straight, Trainer DA McKenzie, acting on behalf of Trainer GW Ennion, was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
i)	WELSH STARLET, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JVA Strydom was advised. (LM)
