Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PURPLE POWAHOUSE (A Mgudlwa) lost 1 length. b) FINE DINING (K Matsunyane) jumped inwards leaving the starting stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) MASK ON (J Gates) over raced in the early and middle stages. Thereafter on the latter part of the turn this gelding was steadied outwards on a number of occasions to avoid running onto the heels of PROFESSOR LUPIN (K de Melo). b) Approaching the 200m LOU LOU THE LEGEND (C Murray) was switched to the outside of L'ULTIMO (R A Venniker) to continue its run. c) Leaving the 200m INDECENT PROPOSAL (N Patel) was inconvenienced for a short distance between the heels of COUNT MARSH (*J Botes) and the heels of MASK ON (J Gates) which rolled out. d) In view of the performance of FINE DINING (K Matsunyane) (5.85 lengths and 20/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) L'ULTIMO (R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
