THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GREEN TICKET (S Hlengwa) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) NEBULOUS (*J Botes) was bumped by MOUNT KENNEDY (A Mgudlwa) leaving the starting stalls. b) WAR EMPEROR (C F Dicken) stumbled shortly after the start and the rider accidentally dropped his crop passing the 150m. Thereafter Jockey C F Dicken reported that this gelding took a number of awkward strides in the running, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) MOUNT KENNEDY (A Mgudlwa) hung in from the 350m. d) BLACK FROST (R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
