THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PRINCESS OF BAYEUX (K Minnie), JAMBO SANA (C Zackey), UMZOLOZOLO (M van Rensburg) and BLUE PALACE (*G Dookhit) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h56) b) Permission was granted for UMZOLOZOLO (M van Rensburg) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with JAMBO SANA. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. Assistant Trainer FJ Jacobs was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this mare on her return to the stables. d) LADY BOMBER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
