THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PLAY WORLD (J Jacobs) was stubborn to load. b) FULL MONTY (A Mgudlwa) lost 1 length. c) ETZEBETH (C Little) lost 3 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded (12h13). b) FULL MONTY (A Mgudlwa) hung out throughout and took an awkward stride at the 200m. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) SAIL THE HORIZON (T Godden) hung in throughout. d) ETZEBETH (C Little) raced green. e) Jockey G Wright reported that CAMOGIE took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Trainer N Kotzen signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1., in that he failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for the horse ETZEBETH. Accordingly, a warning was issued. g) PENAN NOM (*D D Louw), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S H Ferrie was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) WILLIAM OF ORANGE raced equipped with blinkers (advised 07.01.2026/07h28). b) PENAN NOM raced without blinkers (advised 07.01.2026/11h45).
