Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MILITARY COMMAND (C Little) jumped slow, losing two lengths and was slow into stride b) RAVEN BLACK (L Mxothwa) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (16h44) b) At the 300m LITTLE BOY BLUE (G Lerena) was steadied when awkwardly placed between THE US OF A (R Fourie) and RAVEN BLACK (L Mxothwa), which was hanging in, shifted in and was straightened. c) At the 250m ONE LINER (M Yeni) was checked and directed inwards sharply when racing on the inside of DEMANDING DAVE (A Fortune), which shifted in. The Stewards have adjourned to review this incident. d) THE US OF A (R Fourie) was continually held up for a clear run between the 200m and the finish. e) At the 50m GOLD GIBOSKI (R Piechulek), which initially rolled inwards slightly and DEMANDING DAVE (A Fortune), which was improving into a narrow run between GOLD GIBOSKI (R Piechulek) and NORTH POINT (JP van der Merwe), brushed. Thereafter, GOLD GIBOSKI (R Piechulek) rolled out and carried EMPIRE STATE (A Domeyer) and RAVEN BLACK (L Mxothwa) outwards. f) DEMANDING DAVE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JMT Stewart was advised. (ZM) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) R Piechulek (GOLD GIBOSKI) rode +0.5kg (56.1kgs) RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
