THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, IT'S ABOUT TIME (W Kennedy) was bumped out by SIKHULU (J Gates) which jumped outwards. b) FLY THE COUP (*G Pieterse) shifted out away from the crop at 150m and was immediately straightened. c) In view of the performance of IT'S ABOUT TIME (W Kennedy) (3.70 lengths, 3/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) FLY THE COUP (*G Pieterse), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L Karriem advised (HM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) FLY THE COUP raced without blinkers (advised 24.04.22/7h38). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) IT'S ABOUT TIME : Abnormal respiratory noise and not striding out behind. b) HERECOMESTHERAIN : Returned post-race having cast the left front shoe. c) GOOD RHYTHM : Brush wound right hind.
