Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	KAIBOY (JP van der Merwe) and TEFLON MAN (C Zackey) jumped slow, losing one length.
b)	MEU CAPITANO (C Orffer) jumped awkwardly.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h24)
b)	Approaching the 1000m ALL THE RAGE (A Fortune) took an awkward stride.
c)	Approaching the 250m SURJAY (L Mxothwa) was switched out to avoid running onto the heels of ABSOLUTELY YES (P Mxoli), which rolled out. As a consequence, TEFLON MAN (C Zackey) and to a lesser degree, CAFE CULTURE (C Little), FUTURE VARIETY (A Domeyer) and MEU CAPITANO (C Orffer) were carried out. The Board could not apportion blame to any individual Rider and deemed this to be a racing incident. 
d)	Jockey G Lerena reported that ELUSIVE WINTER changed stride continuously in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e)	In the concluding stages THE US OF A (R Fourie), which was hanging out, shifted out and was brushed on the hindquarters by ELUSIVE WINTER (G Lerena).
f)	ALL THE RAGE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass was advised. (SC)
