THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CHERRY OH BABY (*I Taka) jumped slow, losing one length. b) HAPPY WIVES (K Minnie) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) KINGS AGAIN (L Mxothwa) and MAKE BELIEVE (G Wright) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h21) b) Permission was granted for SMASHING (X Ndlovu) and HOPE CHEST (M Yeni) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) HOT SAUCE (R Fourie) shifted continuously outwards away from the crop from the 200m. d) HOPE CHEST, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
