THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ERIKS LOVE (M Yeni) jumped outwards and was slow into stride. b) THUNDER MASTER (C Maujean) and PARDON ME (E Webber) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h17) b) Apprentice W Fourie (FLASH LIGHTNING) rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. c) ERIKS LOVE (M Yeni), which jumped outwards, was directed inwards behind runners shortly after the start. d) THUNDER MASTER (C Maujean) over raced in the early and middle stages. e) BAHAMIAN BEAT (X Ndlovu), which was hanging out from the 400m, shifted out away from the crop at the 300m. f) ACTION AMERICA (C Little) was hanging out from the 300m. g) HOLLANDIA BAKKERIJ (L Mxothwa) shifted out away from the crop from the 300m and was corrected at the 100m. h) A BIT CHILLY (C Zackey), which was hanging out from the 250m, shifted out sharply away from the crop at the 150m and was corrected shortly before the finish. i) INGQWELE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
