Stipes Report
a) WATERFRONT (C Zackey) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h02) b) O'FELLOW (*N YUEN) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. c) READY FOR THE ROAD (*S Bungane) shifted in leaving the 250m and had to be straightened. d) WATERFRONT (C Zackey) was hanging in in the latter stages. e) OH SO ONEDERFUL (*EJ Muller) and TUNGUSKA (A Fortune) brushed at the 50m. f) Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with PROTECTOR OF PEACE. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. g) Apprentice N Yuen was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that as the rider of O'FELLOW she misused her crop by striking O'FELLOW more than 12 times (14), which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Apprentice N Yuen signed an admission of guilt and was fined R4000,00. h) BONELLI, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass was advised.
