EN ROUTE TO THE START, ON A JET PLANE (M YENI) SPREAD ITS RIGHT FRONT SHOE, RESULTING IN AN INJURY TO THE HOOF, AND THIS FILLY WAS SUBSEQUENTLY SCRATCHED. THIS CAUSED A FURTHER DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) COMMANDER OF ALL (J Gates) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) OKLAHOMA SMOKESHOW recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer F P Habib was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level. b) Jockey R Danielson (RED AMBER) did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. Thereafter, Jockey R Danielson reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey R A Venniker reported that she felt something amiss with PEREGRINE FALCON in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) OKLAHOMA SMOKESHOW, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F P Habib advised (SM). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) BAY EMPIRE raced without blinkers (declared 13 February 2026 at 07H48). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) RED AMBER not striding out left front. b) PEREGRINE FALCON abnormal respiratory noise.
