Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VOLEGOV (A Domeyer) was reluctant to load. b) SUPPOSEYOU'VE HEARD (C Orffer) was restless in the stalls. c) MADRA RUA (IRE) (R Fourie) kicked the back gates in the starting stalls. d) SLIVER OF SUNSHINE (C Zackey) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (11h54) b) MADRA RUA (IRE) (R Fourie) was continually held up for a clear run between the 400m and the 200m and thereafter, shifted out away from the crop at the 150m and had to be straightened. c) MUTINY IN HEAVEN (IRE) (G Wright) was directed outwards and into clear running at the 300m. d) At the 150m MR MOUSTACHE (*V Jodhee), which was hanging out, was awkwardly placed for a number of strides on the inside of SUPPOSEYOU'VE HEARD (C Orffer). e) In view of the performances of SLIVER OF SUNSHINE (C Zackey) and VOLEGOV (A Domeyer), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. f) FAST TRAIN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
