THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BEAUTIFUL ONE (A Domeyer) and RED TAFFETY (JP van der Merwe) jumped awkwardly. b) ISLAND JEWEL (S Veale) and APRIL FOOLS' DAY (R Fourie) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h10) b) GOLD GOLD BABY (C Little) was hanging in from the 400m. c) Jockey A Domeyer reported that BEAUTIFUL ONE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the performance of FANTINE (C Zackey), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) APRIL FOOLS' DAY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
