Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	MAGIC CARPET RIDE (R Munger) jumped sharply inwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	RED AMBER (K Matsunyane) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded.
b)	Shortly after the start, TAKING A RISK (*T Mayhew) and THERE SHE GOES (M Michel) came together and bumped. Thereafter, PLAY WITH THE WIND (G Lerena), THERE SHE GOES (M Michel) and INSPIRATION (K de Melo) suffered varying degrees of interference when awkwardly placed on the inside of MAGIC CARPET RIDE (R Munger), which jumped sharply inwards leaving the stalls.	
c)	Jockey G Lerena reported that PLAY WITH THE WIND made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 	
d)	Jockey J Penny reported that he felt something amiss with ROYAL HORIZON in running.

e)	Apprentice T Mayhew (TAKING A RISK) appeared before the Board and was advised that although the use of his crop fell within the parameters of the current transition period, the revised use of the crop Rules and penalty framework will take effect on the 1st of April 2026.
f)	CAPTAIN SELVIE (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
