THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PALACE DANCER (P Mxoli) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) BAKWENA (K de Melo) and KISSING MACHINE (C Habib) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) In view of the performance of WOMAN'S WORLD (C Murray), (distance 7,85 lengths, betting 6/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In view of the performance of WARNING SOUND (M Michel), (distance 8,05 lengths, betting 4/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey C Habib (KISSING MACHINE) appeared before the Board and was advised that although the use of his crop fell within the parameters of the current transition period, the revised use of the crop Rules and penalty framework will take effect on the 1st of April 2026. d) PALACE DANCER (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
