THE STARTER REPORTED: a) UNSOLVED RIDDLE (M Michel) was slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) GUERILLA WARFARE (M Yeni) stumbled shortly after the start. c) Leaving the 400m, FRANGIPANI (C Habib) was momentarily unbalanced when bumped in by AMERICAN BEAUTY (K Strydom), which rolled in. d) DECEPTION PASS (*B Marx-Jacobson) shifted in away from the crop from the 300m to the 200m. e) Shortly after the finish line, PRETTY ANALIA stumbled and fell, dislodging Jockey L Nhlapho. Jockey L Nhlapho was attended to by the course paramedics and taken to the course medical centre for further observation. f) Jockey C Zackey reported that PEREGRINE FALCON made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) CHIEFTAIN'S SHIELD (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer T Zackey was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) PEREGRINE FALCON was ridden by Jockey C Zackey (declared 28 March 2026 at 10H24). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) PEREGRINE FALCON abnormal respiratory noise. b) WAR REPORTER blowing post-race. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
