THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	AVERSATOR (C Zackey) and CONNERY (C Little) lost 1 length. 
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) :
a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded.
b)	Leaving the 1000m BLAZING FURY (*B Marx-Jacobson), which over raced and proved difficult to settle, ran onto and clipped the heels of CARDINAL CHIEF (S Moodley). BLAZING FURY (*B Marx-Jacobson) was then directed outwards, away from the heels of CARDINAL CHIEF (S Moodley) and thereafter back in behind runners, in an attempt to settle this gelding. 
c)	Jockey S Moodley (CARDINAL CHIEF) appeared before the Board and was advised that although the use of his crop fell within the parameters of the current transition period,  the revised use of the crop Rules and penalty framework will take effect on the 1st of April 2026.
d)	 CONNERY (C Little) hung in from the 250m.
e)	Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with AVERSATOR in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
f)	In view of the performance of MAGIC TATTOO (S Veale) (4.25 lengths, 16/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 
g)	The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine CARDINAL CHIEF (S Moodley) as a precautionary measure after having its heels clipped at the 1000m.
h)	MAGIC SURPRISE (R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D I Campbell was advised (MM).
