THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	QUINCY TOWN (*B A Makhubo) was slow into stride. 
b)	PARLIAMENT SQUARE (W Fourie) lost 1 length. 
c)	FUTANO (*G Samo-Buthia) lost 2 lengths. 
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM) :
a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded.
b)	Approaching the 500m Apprentice S Bungane (DARLINGBUDSOFMAY) had his crop accidentally struck from his hand by Apprentice B Soodoo (LITTLE CRACKER).
c)	Approaching the 250m GOT THE WORD (*I Taka) had to check off the heels of DARLINGBUDSOFMAY (*S Bungane) which shifted in from the crop when insufficiently clear. 
d)	GOT THE WORD (*I Taka) was continually baulked for a clear run from the 150m to the 50m.
e)	Apprentice S Bungane was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that, as the rider of DARLINGBUDSOFMAY, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to GOT THE WORD (*I Taka) at approximately the 250m. Apprentice S Bungane signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended from riding in races for a period for seven days (Suspension dates : 11.04.2026 - 17.04.2026).
f)	The Clerk of Scales lodged an Objection against LITTLE CRACKER (*B Soodoo) in terms of Rule 68.2.11., in that Apprentice B Soodoo weighed in more than 0.5kg below the weight at which he was declared out. After giving regard to the evidence, the Objection was upheld and in terms of Rule 69.7, LITTLE CRACKER was disqualified.
g)	The circumstances leading to *Soodoo (LITTLE CRACKER) weighing in underweight are to be investigated.
h)	Apprentices A Mosaheb (ONE IRISH ROVER) and W Fourie (PARLIAMENT SQUARE) rode satisfactory qualifying rides. 
i)	L'ULTIMO (*D Ramkhalawon), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M L Roberts was advised (SP).
JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES :
a)	CATAVAR raced fitted with an alumite bar shoe on the left front (advised 23.03.2026/11h00).
b)	FUTANO raced equipped with blinkers (advised 28.03.2026/09h15).
