Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	REDLIGHTGREENLIGHT (M van Rensburg) was slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded.
b)	At approximately the 400m, WARNING LIGHT (G Lerena) broke down, fell and dislodged Jockey G Lerena. Jockey G Lerena was attended to by the course paramedics and taken to the course medical centre for further observation and thereafter airlifted to hospital.
c)	Approaching the 200m, GOT THE FEELING (K de Melo) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed between FULLY LOADED (*B Marx-Jacobson) and COPPOLA (J Penny), which shifted in away from the crop and was corrected. 
	An Objection was lodged by Jockey K de Melo, the rider of the third placed horse, GOT THE FEELING, against the second placed horse, COPPOLA (J Penny), on the grounds of interference at the 200m.  The board after giving consideration to the distance of 0,80 lengths between these horses at the line and that it always appeared that COPPOLA had the measure of GOT THE FEELING, overruled the objection and allowed the judges' result to stand. Jockey K de Melo's deposit was refunded.  
	The Board have adjourned to review Jockey J Penny's (COPPOLA) ride.
d)	FULLY LOADED (*B Marx-Jacobson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
Trainer F P Habib was advised (MS).
