THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RAFA BAY (M van Rensburg) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Jockey M van Rensburg felt something amiss with RAFA BAY and did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) VANAKKAM (M Michel) hung in from the 300m. d) POBLANO (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
