THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GOLDEN ASPEN was slow, losing one length. b) PRETTY ANALIA was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) At approximately the 150m, ITSNOWORNEVER shifted in sharply for no apparent reason. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In the concluding stages, BAY EMPIRE was carried in marginally by CLOUDS CLEARING, which shifted in away from the crop and was straightened. d) In view of the performance of MATTIAZO, (distance 8,85 lengths, betting 17/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey M van Rensburg reported that GOLDEN ASPEN took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) PRETTY ANALIA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) CLOUDS CLEARING was ridden by Jockey M Yeni (declared 7 May 2026 at 10H08). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) ITSNOWORNEVER not striding out left hind. b) MATTIAZO examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. c) GOLDEN ASPEN examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. d) LAST GINGER cut into right hind.
